JOB OVERVIEW
The Chemical Sales & Service Rep : installs, programs, maintains and repairs laundry chemical dispensers on commercial and industrial laundry equipment. Installs, programs, and maintains Dishwashers and dishwasher chemical dispensers. Travel throughout the state and extended overnight stays will be required. In addition to maintaining equipment, responsibilities include completing paperwork, written and verbal communication with customers, vendors and other departments within the company.

ALS & S fosters a professional and friendly business environment and seeks applicants that work well with others and will represent the company in a positive manner. Applicant must be self-directed, organized, and dependable. This is a full-time position, hours Monday thru Friday, 8a – 4p. Occasional overtime and weekend work required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous technical experience (in any industry) is required. Applicant must possess a basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing and mechanics. Applicant should possess the aptitude to learn and retain knowledge of commercial laundry chemicals and chemistry. Applicant must be able to lift heavy equipment with assistance and work in tight spaces.

Applicants must possess a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurance. Applicants must be able to obtain security clearance with the Department of Corrections and Military Bases.

SUMMARY OF BENEFITS

ALS&S Service Technician:

The Service Technician repairs, maintains, and installs laundry equipment, along with the occasional chemical systems. Travel throughout the state and extended overnight stays will be required. Availability on weekends if needed (On-Call schedule) and travel is required.

In addition to maintaining equipment, responsibilities include completing paperwork, written and verbal communication with customers, vendors, and other departments within the company. ALS & S fosters a professional and friendly business environment and seeks applicants that work well with others and will represent the company in a positive manner. Applicant must be self-directed, organized, and dependable. This is a full-time position, hours Monday thru Friday, 8a – 4p. Occasional overtime, weekend work, special hours, and travel is required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Previous technical experience (in any industry) is required. Applicant must possess a basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing and mechanics. Must have own tools to be used on jobs. Specialty tools will be provided. Applicant must be able to lift heavy equipment with assistance and work in tight spaces.

Transportation to and from the jobsite requires applicants to have a dependable car, driver's license, clean driving record and insurance. Applicants must be able to obtain security clearance with the Department of Corrections and Military Bases.

 ALS&S Sales Executive:

INTRODUCTION
The purpose of the job description is to define the authorities, responsibilities, principal duties, reporting relationships and measures of performance for the position of Sales Executive, hereinafter also referred to as the position for Automated Laundry Systems & Supply.

BASIC FUNCTION
The Sales Executive contributes to the company’s profitability and growth by marketing and selling laundry and dry cleaning equipment and maintaining customer relations.

REQUIREMENTS
Education – High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience – Twelve months in similar position. Must possess a basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing and mechanics. Must possess the ability to learn the technical aspects of laundry chemistry and ozone technology.
Computer – Must possess a basic knowledge of computers. Proficient with Microsoft 2013 software to include Outlook, Excel, Work, and Publisher.
Physical: Required to be sighted, hear and speak English. Body positions: standing and sitting.  Body Movement: use of hands, arms and legs.  Lifting: normal up to 80 pounds and with mechanical assistance up to 1000 pounds.
Mental – Ability to work independently, to delegate, train and work well with others in a multi-functional environment. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.  Must be able to problem solve on unfamiliar systems and equipment.  Must have the ability to learn and master information on new products and technologies.
Working conditions – Office, warehouse, shop, and site visits. Position requires travel throughout the State of Alaska. Must be able to obtain security clearance with the Department of Corrections and Military.  Travel can include overnight stays.

TRANSPORTATION
The position requires the use of a personal vehicle. Employee must have a dependable vehicle, valid Alaska driver’s license and current automobile insurance. It is required that proof of automobile insurance to be provided every 6 months.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The position will report directly to the General Manager.

AUTHORITY
The position is given the authority to conduct all routine business and operational affairs that relate to his or her job responsibilities, so long as any actions are sound business decisions and comply with company policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain the company’s reputation as a quality provider of equipment and services. Achieve productivity standards set by the company.
Increase sales volume and gross profit margins.
Meet sales goals established by General Manager.
Stay current on markets served and competitive conditions in Alaska.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES
Provide quotations and product information as requested.
Maintain accurate records, contact information and sales history.
Follow procedure when order is obtained.
Address customer service issues.
Complete purchase records for company purchases.
Complete and submit Daily Log.
Maintain a neat and professional image. Wear clothing and protective apparel appropriate for the position.
Protect and maintain company assets.
Keep office clean and clutter free.
Do any other task as assigned by management.

MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE  - Formal reviews will be conducted quarterly.
